    Lockdown, Day 23: Maharashtra hits 3k-mark

    The economic price the world may have to pay for Covid seems to be getting graver and graver. According to the IMF, the pandemic will drag Asia's growth to nil, a first in 60 years. Niti Aayog's boss, however, said India may be able to avoid a zero growth scenario.

    Maharashtra today became the first state in India to hit the 3000-mark, but there's a silver lining. India's worst affected state saw a 34% dip and in new cases recorded yesterday, while state capital Mumbai witnessed a 35% dip.
