Stone-pelting incidents in J&K declined to 1,261 last year from 2,808 in 2016, junior Union minister of state for home minister Hansraj Ahir informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

Inter-modal transport hub to come up at Ranip
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s ambitious inter-modal transport hub (IMTH) at Ranip has been approved under the Government of India’s Smart City Project and the nodal agency for Smart City Ahmedabad Development Ltd. Gujarat asks for more Narmada water
The Gujarat government, which has already officially announced that it will not give Narmada water for irrigation or industrial use this summer, and also planned to reduce supply of drinking water from Narmada in major cities, has approached the Centre for immediate intervention. Given the low level of water in the Sardar Sarovar Dam, and big reduction in water released from MP, the Gujarat government wants the Centre to direct MP to release greater quantities of Narmada water daily to tackle impending drinking water crisis in Gujarat.

Gujarat gets 8,500 applications for GST refunds
As many as 8,500 online applications for refunds under GST have been received by the state government and refunds to the tune of Rs 950 crore have so far been given to business owners and traders, said commissioner of state tax, Gujarat government, PD Vaghela on Wednesday.
