'Eternal flame' to honour Savarkar
BJP president Amit Shah, accompanied by oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan, on Saturday inaugurated an eternal flame to commemorate the 133rd birth anniversary of noted freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on the premises of the Cellular Jail at Port Blair in Andaman.

Two-wheeler rules to apply to e-bikes too
Under-aged schoolgoing children driving e-scooters or e-bikes would no more go scot free soon. All powered vehicles - both electric or mechanical - would be brought under the definition of “vehicle” so that all rules of Motor Vehicles (MV) Act such as mandatory driving licence, insurance and wearing of helmet apply on such vehicles and their users.

Government to launch Digital Gujarat app

56% clear class XII exams in Gujarat
Higher Secondary (HSC) general stream students, including number crunchers in commerce, wilted in face of the English paper. While overall pass percentage of HSc general stream was 55.85%, as results published on Saturday showed, of the 4.51 lakh students, 34.58%, (1.52 lakh) failed to clear English, their second language. Still, it was 0.31% better than the results in 2015. Less than 22% of students had failed in English in 2014, said board officials.
