Can India do without China in a post-Covid world?
India has again found itself in an eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation with China. The new standoff comes at a time when India was hoping to make some inroads into Chinese dominance of global supply chains in a post-Covid world. But with its own domestic markets flooded with Chinese products, and a high dependency on Chinese imports to run its own factories, can India afford to antagonise its giant neighbour?

Lockdown, Day 73: Losing count

CORONAVIRUS UPDATES

Lockdown, Day 73: Losing count

India's Covid counters are clicking away, faster than ever with infections and deaths doubling in just over a fortnight.

If the pattern continues, India could cross three lakh cases, just as Tirupati and other religious places reopen to devotees.
