A day after home minister G Parameshwara said a Tanzanian girl facing a riotous mob was left behind by a patrol after which she was stripped and beaten up, a police inspector and a constable were suspended on Friday for dereliction of duty.

In what is said to be imitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a role model, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday, blatantly warned his ministers saying they should spend one whole day a month in districts of their charge else, they will loose their position.
