Heavy rain spells up 3-fold in central India
Widespread extreme rain events, like the one that flooded Mumbai on August 29 this year, have tripled between 1950 and 2015 across central India, says a study by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology published in Nature Communications on Tuesday.
