The J&K legislative assembly adopted on Wednesday a resolution to implement the goods and services tax in the state, paving the way towards a truly “one In dia, one tax system“. J&K was the only exception when other states implemented GST on July 1.

Service sector grows to eight-month high on new orders
The Nikkei India Services Purchasing Managers' Index, which tracks services output on a monthly basis, increased to 53.1 in June, from 52.2 in May, signalling a "solid and accelerated" upturn in output across the sector. Meanwhile, manufacturing sector growth eased to a four- month low in June.
