Oslo bans diesel cars due to high pollution levels
Authorities in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on Tuesday for the first time pushed diesel cars off the roads, due to high levels of pollution. The ban does not extend to highways and ring roads around the city, and public transport, cargo vehicles and cars owned by disabled people are exempted.

EPCA to enforce graded response plan on pollution in NCR 
Terming air pollution in NCR as a "matter of serious concern", which requires "urgent action", the Environment Ministry in its notification assigned the task to implement the plan to Environment Pollution Control and Prevention Authority (EPCA) under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.

Beijing to be hit by new bout of pollution
According to the municipal environmental protection bureau, Beijing will see mild pollution, with the main pollutant being PM 2.5, Sunday. The Air Quality Index is expected to reach between 125 and 145. Pollution will become severe on Monday and hit medium levels on Tuesday.
