How government's currency move will help the common man
Currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations will not be legal tender beginning November 9. PM Narendra Modi announced the move on Tuesday evening. He said the move was aimed at curbing the negative impact of fake currency, black money, corruption and terrorism on the nation's economy. New notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 would be released and circulated soon.

Ramdev welcomes government's move on high value currency notes
It was a victory day for yoga guru Baba Ramdev as government announced ban of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes on Tuesday evening. Ramdev, who had been demanding this ban since August 2010 welcomed the decision and tweeted, "Our fight for financial transparency for years has borne fruit."
