This is a giant chariot festival which is dedicated to the main deity of Orissa, Lord Jagannath. On the day of the Rath Yatra, the deities of the great temple of Puri are taken on a chariot ride to a nearby temple. These chariots in which the deities are carried are pulled by thousands of devotees full of devotion to God. This Rath Yatra festival of the Puri temple is more than 5,000 years old.

Live coverage will begin Sunday morning Indian time, and run throughout the day till the evening.
