It’s been over a year since I’ve updated this blog, and I’m finally coming to the conclusion that I need to part ways with it. I had a great time raising this site up from a mere nothing over five years ago, and I’ll always cherish the friendships and connections I’ve made along the way. At this point in my life and career, though, I just don’t have the time, ability, or motivation to keep it going strong.

Since moving back to North Idaho, I’ve had to spend more time and energy on my main source of income: mechanical engineering. I’ve been self employed for 1.5 years as an independent designer/engineer and it’s a constant struggle to find work. I actually started a portfolio/blog site for my engineering stuff, but (like this blog) I haven’t found the time to properly update it with the projects I’ve completed. If anybody happens to be interested in that kind of stuff, I’ll mostly be using it as a portfolio to show new clients.

I also just launched a product (with my dad and brother), so that’s been burning up a lot of my time lately. The product is a hitch mounted shooting bench for gun enthusiasts. Check it out if you happen to be the other kind of “shooter”! I’m hoping it takes off so I can get back to my photography habit.

Ok then, enough with my personal endeavors… on with the real reason for this post.
